Network & Security Administrator
MAJOR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the organization’s internal networks, servers, email and network security systems, including maintaining network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways (where applicable), IPS, IDS
  • Plan and implement network security, including maintaining existing firewalls, host security, file permissions/ access
  • Trouble-shoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunction and any other operational difficulties
  • Develops and documents system security standards for computer and network devices

WORKING EXPERIENCE &/OR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in networking & security
  • Working knowledge of operating systems – Windows 2003 and 2008 servers
  • Able to install, configure and maintain computers, networking equipment and network operating systems
  • Able to identify and resolve network malfunctions and other operational problems relating to networks within an office environment
  • Prior experience supporting, implementing or administering networks such as MS windows active directory
  • Familiar with commonly used security systems, able to perform corrective and preventive measures on existing equipment

EDUCATION / LANGUAGE PROFICIENCIES:

  • Degree in Information Technology related field
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken) and Chinese language (spoken), the later due to need of communication with Greater China personnel

IMMEDIATE CHALLENGES /PROJECTS:
  • Followup with all outstanding activities post transition relating to network and security, including trouble-shooting / debugging network-related problems
  • Moving all CE routers for each site to Sprint’s managed services
  • Gain control and administer all core network switches at each site
  • AD and mailbox migration for Korea, Australia and Japan

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
  • Downtime & Uptime of servers
  • Downtime & Uptime of network
  • Project completion timelines & targets
  • Zero security breech
