Hosting Edge Management Specialist( Helpdesk Specialist)

Our client is a global leader in IT solutions for enterprises and government agencies. It is an outsourcing provider of managed computing and network infrastructure for IT applications. Its services include managed hosting, cloud computing, colocation, network connectivity, and IT consulting. Due to its rapid expansion in Singapore, it is currently looking for IT customer support specialists for its DataCentre.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for monitoring, diagnositcs and resolution of Tier 1 and 2 issues related to customer base.
• To follow Global Client Services Guidelines document for hourly employees
• To follow all documented procedures related to the Edge Management postion.
• Initiate proactive customer notifications to meet SLA requirements
• Provide detailed information throughout trouble resolution process to all relevant parties.
• The Edge Management Specialist is also responsible for software distribution related to IAD’s (Integrated Access Devices) and servers including, but not limited to service pack upgrades, configuration changes, security patches and new code releases.  

Requirements :

• Advanced Knowledge of Windows NT server, Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2003 Server, UNIX and Linux     commands.
• HAN, LAN and WAN connectivity
• Understanding of Networking Protocols; ICMP, UDP and TCP/IP
• Host and network based firewalls
• Understanding of Web Technologies ie: Load Balancers, WebSphere, IHS, PHP
• At least 2 years of experience working in a Data Centre environment.
• Good working attitude and willing to work flexible hours
• Team Player
• Customer Focused  
• Good Verbal, written and analytical skills
• Singaporeans, SPR preferred.
