Finance Manager

Our client is one of the largest established firm based in Singapore. In this role, you will lead the improvement of business processes and internal controls in Finance while providing day-to-day financial and business advisory support to the business units.
Finance Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Business Process Improvement
    • Review business processes of the various business units, within Finance as well as the Operations, to identify areas of opportunity for improvement
    • Lead BUs to drive improvements in the monthly closing and accounting process
    • Guide BUs in developing effective and efficient procedures/processes without compromising on internal controls
  • Internal Controls
    • Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls of BUs, and alert Management of potential controls risks and compliance issues
    • Guide BUs to develop policies and procedures to mitigate controls risks and ensure compliance to good corporate governance
    • Partner with Internal Audit, Operations and various stakeholders to resolve internal controls issues.
  • Business Partnering
    • Provide financial and business advisory support
    • Help prepare business cases and perform financial analysis to evaluate and justify for capital or resource investments
    • Analyse financial statements and operational expenditure & provide recommendations on how to improve business performance
    • Analyse business and industry trends, track competitors offerings, provide competitive analysis and benchmark reports for management review
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Prepare quarterly forecasting for the full year Revenue and Margin and monthly forecast
    • Responsible for the annual budgeting cycle, including driving BUs to meet tight deadline, provide budgeting guidance & template to use and facilitate discussion with business to achieve outcome set by the company. 

Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the areas of internal controls and business process improvement
  • Experience in leading or being a key contributor of project teams, especially in systems improvement projects
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to thrive in fast paced environment
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or its equivalent
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
