- Perform professional styling and administer therapeutic treatments for animal companions
- Follow owner's instructions or Breed Standards when clipping, stripping or trimming an animal companion's coat
- Assist in the retail area when not grooming to generate sales
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be prompt with appointments and perform services within the time allotted for the service
- Provide consistent professional styling and treatments
- Maintain grooming equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization in the work area
- Perform prep work, properly clean and restock work area
- Able to work independently without direct supervision
Requirements
- Great with pets
- Minimum 2 years experience in Pet Grooming
- Minimum 'O' levels with 5 passes or equivalent
- Candidates with professional certification will be considered favourably
- Candidates must perform a skill evaluation demonstration
- Possess and maintain knowledge of current styles and trends for animal companions
- Good knowledge and understanding of pet services and products
- Flexible with your schedule to support the grooming needs of our customers
- Able to move animals and merchandise weighing up to 25kg
- Inexperienced applicants with a strong interest in pet styling may also apply to be apprentices. Training will be provided. Above requirements apply (except experience and skills evaluation)
