Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, a full-licensed bank with several business operations in Singapore, is seeking suitable candidates for its Referential Banking and Operations department.

Market Data Analyst (MDA Team)

MDA is in charge of the monitoring and management of market data for Credit Agricole CIB: retrieving, validating Market Data for Front Office, Back Office, Risks and Accounting Department. This unit, also known as “Middle Office Referential” is the entry point for data for capital market instruments of interest to Credit Agricole CIB and their parameterization in the systems.
MDA Singapore is being setup as an extension of the MDA operations currently functioning out of Paris. It is intended that the Asian and American FO/BO would be supported by the Singapore team on a real time basis.
Responsibilities
  • Setup and validate instruments in MDA systems based on requests from FO/BO
  • Validate FX rates in MDA systems based on validation rules.
  • Solve queries and follow up issues raised by FO and BO, liaising when necessary with all ad hoc services and departments (Support IT, business line management…) in order to provide a smooth and efficient referential service.
  • Update procedure manuals as and when required.
  • Participate in projects involving MDA.
  • Review regularly processes and set up new procedures when appropriate, cross training and assistance for other team members.
  • Work and support Paris MDA team as and when necessary.
  • In coordination with the team leader, instrumental in the set up of the team in Singapore (processes, operating metrics, coordination with HO, coordination with IT, future recruitments, etc.).
  • Create and/or validate with a variety of products comprising equities, rates, FX, vanilla options and futures contracts, Convertibles Bonds, Govies, Funds, ETF…..
  • Ensure completion of allocated tasks within the timelines and in an error-free manner
  • If required, candidate will join the taskforce dedicated to expand our activities across the relevant markets and business lines.

Requirements
  • Degree in Economics, Banking/Finance
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets and investment banking activities
  • Experience in BO operations handling Security Maintenance/ corporate actions and/or pricing of capital market instruments including Equity, Fixed Income and Derivatives is preferred
  • Experience in dealing with Capital Markets Instruments either at FO or BO operations teams is preferred
  • Experience in a Capital Markets environment, FO to BO processing, Equity Derivatives and Fixed Income activities is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; strong client service focus
  • Self-motivated and excellent team player
  • Posses strong analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management
  • Should have worked and be willing to work on different shifts covering different time zones as and when required on a rotation basis.
  • Excel, VBA and MS Access skill sets will be considered advantageous
